right back around, say september '99 or so, i figured i'd get a job, save up some money, and go to europe the next summer.
i banged on a keyboard for four months for kensington technology group, stashed some of the money and hopped on a flight to europe in early may of double-aught. i did the typical railpass/youth hostel thing, traveling around central and northern europe.
as i traveled, i kept a mailing list of friends and family that i emailed now and again, writing about my travels and rambling on about german cars, swedish weddings, austrian high school proms and finnish saunas.
this list is kind of incomplete, so i'll dig up the other emails some time...
